At Aviscon Property Management, he is responsible for the overall management and facilitation of the group and team of risk advisors and consultants.
He served as the Principal Officer of Virginia Surety Company, Labuan (part of the Warranty Group, an extended warranty solutions provider).
He held several key positions simultaneously – Executive Director at GroupMed Consultants Limited, Risk Manager of Oger Abu Dhabi, and General Manager of SIB Consultants. This involved leading, developing and implementing risk management and insurance initiatives for various companies in the UAE, Lebanon, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
Razak also served as the Chief Executive Officer of Marsh Insurance Broker during his 21 years with the Marsh & McLennan Group which included assignments in London.
He attended Institut Teknologi MARA (ITM), Malaysia and is a Fellow of the Malaysian Insurance Institute (FMII). He also holds a Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) Certificate and an Institute of Risk Management (IRM) Certificate, both from the UK.
Tan Kim Seng
29 Years of Extensive Experience
With over 29 years of experience in corporate advisory and corporate finance, Kim Seng has acquired a high level of expertise regarding guidelines and regulations pertaining to mergers and acquisitions, reverse takeovers, flotations, equity and corporate restructuring, equity/convertible fund-raising exercises as well as the valuation of assets and businesses.
The major clients advised over the years include conglomerates
YTL Group (through the listing of YTL Power in 1997), Renong Group and Sime Darby as well as leading organisations like Chemical Company of Malaysia, KFC Holdings, Konsortium Perkapalan, Landmarks, SP Setia and Boustead, among others. Kim Seng also serves as an advisor to the controlling shareholders of various public listed and private companies, mainly on proposed corporate exercises involving reverse takeovers of public listed companies, and pre-IPO restructuring.
In his last employment in the investment banking industry
Kim Seng was the Head of Corporate Finance Division 2 at Affin Merchant Bank Berhad. In this role, he was responsible for business development, client relationship management as well as overseeing corporate assignments for the bank’s clients and for companies within the Lembaga Tabung Angkatan Tentera (LTAT) group, such as the privatisation of Kuala Sidim Berhad and merger of Affin Group.
Kim Seng ventured into property development/management in 2009, undertaking his own private investments as well as acting as an adviser on corporate deals.
